Not bad for a party widely - and so very prematurely - written off by some just a few weeks ago! The Liberal Democrats' by-election victory in Dunfermline and West Fife shows what can be done with determination, belief and above all organisation - even in territory where we have no track record.
A reminder of the result:
Lib Dem: 35.8%
Lab: 30.6% (swing to Lib Dems 16.2%)
SNP: 21% (swing to Lib Dems 9.1%)
Con: 7.8% (swing to Lib Dems 6.8%).
And - did you see our three leadership candidates on Question Time last week? All three fluent and impressive. Whatever the differences in emphasis, we can have every confidence in whichever of them is selected - to speak for us, hold firm to liberal and democratic values, expose the vacuity of the Conservative "revival", and hold an errant government to account.
