"Residents are expressing concerns for their own safety and the safety of their property; they would like to see a return of the 'Bobby on the Beat'.

I am concerned that the reduction of the policing levels locally may be a catalyst for the increased cases of vandalism and crime in our area. Past records show that crime increases when there is a downturn in the economy."

I hope that my concerns are unfounded but this is a time to make the police more visible."
