Re-cycling and rubbish collections

It seems that the adverse weather conditions has meant that council tax payers were not only trapped in their homes because the council failed to use gritter lorries at the first opportunity, it has also meant that the public have rubbish piling up in their streets.

It is time that those elected to serve the public took their responsibility seriously and rather than make announcements about delayed collections they pulled out the stops and cleared the streets of rubbish. - It is an utter disgrace that residents have been treated with such contempt!
