Serving Herne Bay and Margate

Sea front initiative

4.49.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 10th Oct 2007

Cllr Ron Flaherty has been campaigning for two years to bring under control the boy racers on the sea front at Herne Bay. These youths have made life a misery for sea front residents - and driven late night customers away from the amusement arcades. They also have used the Neptune car park to do "wheelies".

Ron's efforts are at last bearing fruit. A combined initiative by the City Council and Police has been launched. We look forward to reporting on positive results!
