Bill Furness Selected to Fight Dane Valley

The controversial Tory councillor for Dane Valley who has been spending much of his time working and living in Panama has finally handed in his resignation to Thanet District Council.

The Lib Dems have selected popular local campaigner Bill Furness to fight the forthcoming by-election.

Bill Furness said,

"I am delighted to have been selected to fight this by-election, the people of Dane Valley deserve better representation than the Tories have given them in the past and I look forward to representing them"

Bill is a retired Company Director and has 11 years previous experience as a District Councillor and 4 as a Town Councillor.

Bill says:

"I will ensure that Dane Valley is properly represented and fight to get Tory run Thanet Council to clean up the litter and graffiti and repair the roads and pavements"
