Conservatives in further trouble

1.00.00am GMT Sat 14th Nov 2009

With local residents still angry at the conservatives allowing Stephen Broadhurst to sit as a conservative councillor despite spending much of his time in Panama and attending only 2 out of 10 meetings this year, the Conservatives have been rocked by another scandal.

The Thanet Times reports that Dane Valley Councillor and mayor of Margate Cllr Watt-Ruffell was summoned to court on November 5th to answer a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to a kitten called Ruby. The case has been adjourned to be heard in Maidstone.
